The Holga Camera Strikes Again!
Posted in Uncategorized with tags April & Shannon, Bellingham Wedding Photography, Holga, Julie & Darren on September 6, 2008 by jamestaylorphotographySo I am still playing with my Holga and trying to figure out focus and exposer. It is really limited but i really like it! In a way it makes me want to shoot film all over again. There is no instant gratification. You have 12 or 16 shots to a roll depending on the setting. You have to set up the shot just right and you still don’t know if it turned out. You go to the photo lab, drop it off and anxiously await the results. I find that there is a little thrill there in the anticipation.
I have been taking a few shots when I am at a wedding and I occasionally pack it with me when I am just out and about. Here are some results from a recent roll I finished up.
The Taylor Girls
Posted in Portraits, Uncategorized with tags Becki Taylor, bellingham, Bellingham Bay, fairhaven, Katie Taylor, Melissa Taylor, Portraits on July 25, 2008 by jamestaylorphotographySo a few weeks ago my mom had set up a time with me to take pictures of her and my two sisters. Taking pictures of your own family can be tricky, especially mine. We are all a bunch of goofballs so it made it a little challenging to get one great shot because someone was making a weird face or goofing off. So here is what happens when you take pictures of the Taylor Girls. Melissa’s wedding should be fun and interesting to shoot! : )
Thanks ladies for making thing fun and challenging at the same time!
Love You!
A walk with my kids
Posted in Moments, Uncategorized with tags bellingham, kids, snap shots, walk on July 23, 2008 by jamestaylorphotographyThe other day I went on a walk with my two youngest kids around our neighborhood. (I have 4. Yes 4. I get that a lot.) All my kids are ham’s for the camera hence these photos. That’s what happens when your father is a photographer, you learn to work the camera. So here are just a few snapshots of Jacob and Jordyn.
